At MedNOW Clinics, we believe in honoring the history, cultures, and communities that shape the world around us. As we approach June 19th, we join millions across the country in recognizing Juneteenth, a powerful day of reflection, education, and celebration. Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day , marks the date in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, were informed of their freedom—over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. It is a day that honors the strength, resilience, and contributions of Black Americans throughout our nation’s history. This day serves as a reminder of the work that has been done—and the continued progress needed—to ensure equality and justice for all. At MedNOW, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful environment for both our patients and staff, rooted in compassion, dignity, and equity. We encourage you to take time on this important day to reflect, learn, and connect with your community. Whether through attending a local celebration, supporting Black-owned businesses, or simply starting a conversation, we hope Juneteenth inspires meaningful engagement and growth. Thank you for being part of our MedNOW family. We’re proud to serve a diverse and vibrant community—and we stand with you in the pursuit of health, equality, and understanding for all. Warm regards,

At MedNOW Clinics, we are committed to caring for the whole person, supporting not only your medical needs but also the challenges that may impact your overall well-being. We are proud to share a valuable resource available to our community: the Colorado Patient Care Fund (CPCF). The CPCF is dedicated to improving access to healthcare by assisting individuals with costs related to both medical needs. Many patients in our community face barriers such as high medication costs, lack of insurance, and the inability to afford high co-payments and durable medical equipment like walkers, wheelchairs, and oxygen tanks. These obstacles can significantly affect a person's ability to maintain their health and quality of life. Examples of support offered through CPCF include: • Assistance with the cost of medications • Assistance with the cost of office visits • Help with purchasing medical equipment and supplies • Coverage for primary care and specialist appointments Our Mission: We aim to remove barriers to high-quality health care by providing patient-centered support and treating every individual with excellence in care, service, and access. If you need financial assistance, you may be eligible to apply for aid through CPCF. Our goal is to help you focus on your health without the added burden of unaffordable care. Additionally, if you can give to the CPCF, your generous donation can make a meaningful impact on the lives of Colorado families. Every contribution helps patients get the care they need and deserve. To apply for assistance or to donate, please contact your MedNOW Clinic or use the link below to visit the CPCF website! Colorado Patient Care Fund

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Did you know that 1 in 5 adults are dealing with some mental illness, and suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the U.S. The majority of those who die by suicide suffer from a mental health condition. Mental health impacts how we think, feel, and act, and plays a crucial role in our ability to cope with life's challenges. It affects everyone, regardless of age, gender, race, or social status. However, we can all improve our mental health and live fulfilling lives with the right tools and resources. Here are some tips to help improve your mental health: 1. Practice Self-Care: Take care of your physical, emotional, and mental health needs by getting enough sleep, eating well, exercising, and engaging in activities you enjoy. 2. Stay Connected: Social connections are essential for mental health. Stay in touch with family and friends, join a support group, or seek professional help if needed. 3. Manage Stress: Stress is inevitable, but it is important to manage it. Try mindfulness meditation, therapy, or yoga to help reduce stress. 4. Seek Help: If you are struggling with your mental health, do not hesitate to reach out for support. This Mental Health Awareness Month, let’s all commit to taking care of our mental health and supporting one another in our journey to better well-being. April is Alcohol Awareness Month, and we would like to use this time to shine a light on this massive issue that is plaguing people and families everywhere. We want to encourage reflection on the impact that alcohol can have on health, relationships, and your well-being. Alcohol use may be common in our society, but it is still important to recognize how drinking may be affecting your life and the lives around you. If you or a loved one is struggling with drinking, please speak to your MedNOW provider or call your MedNOW clinic. We would be happy to help those who are struggling to obtain the treatment they need. Did you know that we have great medications to curb cravings for alcohol? Naltrexone is the number one FDA-approved drug for this purpose. This once-a-day, generic medication reduces alcohol cravings by up to 90%! It also has very few side effects. There are other FDA-approved medications as well, and there are also over-the-counter herbal medications that help to curb alcohol cravings. If you have any questions regarding alcoholism or alcohol abuse, the CDC provides excellent information. If you think you or a loved one may have an issue with alcohol and need immediate help, please call the National Drug and Alcohol Treatment Hotline: 1-800-662-HELP (4357).
