We are excited to introduce Dr. Martin Kršák, MD, MSc, MBA, FASAM, our newest physician at MedNOW Clinics – Wash Park.

Dr. Kršák is a highly experienced, board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and Addiction Medicine, bringing a unique combination of primary care, infectious disease, addiction medicine, and behavioral health expertise to our practice.

Before joining MedNOW Clinics, Dr. Kršák served as a primary care physician with the Colorado Department of Corrections. Prior to that, he was faculty with the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He previously practiced at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, a Department of Public Health hospital serving diverse and medically underserved populations.

Dr. Kršák earned his medical degree from Jessenius Medical Faculty, Comenius University in Martin, Slovakia. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Caritas Carney Hospital, a Tufts University affiliate, followed by Infectious Diseases fellowship training through Tufts University, including training at Tufts Medical Center, Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, and Lemuel Shattuck Hospital. He also earned a Master of Science in Clinical and Translational Medical Science from Tufts and holds a Master of Business Administration.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kršák has served in medical education and research, including as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and as Editor-in-Chief of Sage Open Chronic Disease.

A Focus on Comprehensive, Whole-Person Care

Dr. Kršák has a particular interest in mental health care within primary care, including emerging approaches such as ketamine-assisted and psychedelic-assisted therapies. His clinical interests also include telemedicine, digital health monitoring, public health, and improving the delivery of accessible, comprehensive healthcare.

As part of our continued efforts to expand the services available to our patients, MedNOW Clinics is working toward offering ketamine infusion therapy at our Wash Park location. A treatment protocol is currently being developed and will be shared once the program is ready.

Patients interested in this future service will need to enroll in the appropriate treatment protocol and complete an evaluation with one of our behavioral health specialists before beginning ketamine treatment. Ongoing behavioral health support, including appropriate follow-up after treatment, will also be an important part of the program.
